VOICES is an advocacy campaign and documentary film that explores a theatre program for Ugandan youth and engages youth and others in the States in promoting a lasting peace in northern Uganda. WHEN: Thursday, June 19, 2008; 7:00p.m.WHERE: Daniel Maltzman Gallery, 3617 Hayden Avenue, Culver City 90232 WHAT: A FUNdraising evening of cocktails & conversation, artistic and cultural inspiration all in the name of a great cause: VOICES OF UGANDA WHY: Because you're socially conscious, caring and generous COST: $50 WHAT THIS INCLUDES: Cocktails, wine and appetizers, silent auction, DJ VOICES OF UGANDA is an advocacy initiative and a documentary film project that puts a human face on the tragic situation in northern Uganda—a 22 year civil conflict. All funds raised will be utilized towards the completion of the documentary film and to further broaden the advocacy initiatives to ensure a lasting peace in northern Uganda. Voices of Uganda is a program of Voices in Harmony, a non-profit organization under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
