Using the Arts to Raise Awareness 
For the past three years, the Voices of Uganda team here in the United States has participated in advocacy events, rallies, civic presentations, walk-a- thons, lobbying activities on Capitol Hill and meetings with senators and members of Congress to help bring attention to this crisis. They use a combination of public speaking, screenings of the documentary footage, live dramatic performances, and opportunities for audiences to take action to support peace in northern Uganda.  With your help, the Voices team will continue and expand its unique hybrid of dramatic performance and documentary storytelling.
The youth in Uganda have been sharing what they learned through the Voices program with other young people in Uganda.  They have been using a curriculum created by the Voices team to teach other young people how they too can use their voices to educate, inspire and create positive change.
